Microsoft sell a kit to be able to do so :
Instead of buying this kit ( 30$ US on ebay ) I broke appart the big connector
1- remove the plastic casing using a flat screwdriver
2- remove the big part of metal casing shown removed on this picture
3- pry the metal so that the part hiding the hdmi connector is out of the way
Tested, it just works, optical sound and hdmi video at the same time
have fun
